Christmas Lights and Sights in Tennessee!

Roller-skating has taken over my home this year! My three zoom down the street, across the driveway, and unfortunately down my hallways. They love to skate! It’s that time of year where we are ready to trade out the halls for the ice! Nothing says winter quite like bundling up with gloves and scarves and falling down on the ice… Intentionally.  Grab your skates or rent them like the rest of us and get ready to glide at these festive locations across the state.

1. Holidays on Ice – Knoxville, TN

  • Location: Market Square, Knoxville
  • Hours:
    • Nov 29 – Dec 22: Mon-Thurs 4 PM – 9 PM, Fri 12 PM – 10 PM, Sat 10 AM – 10 PM, Sun 1 PM – 9 PM Extended Hours: Dec 23 – Jan 5: Mon-Thurs 1 PM – 9 PM, Fri-Sat 10 AM – 10 PM, Sun 1 PM – 9 PM

2. Ice on the Landing– Chattanooga, TN

  • Location: First Horizon Pavilion, Chattanooga
  • Hours: Nov 24 – Feb 2 (Closed Mondays)
  • Cost: Adults $14, Children (12 & under) $12 (includes skate rental)
  • Fun Activities: Hot chocolate available for non-skaters; beautiful light displays

3. Wilderness at the Smokies– Sevierville, TN

  • Fun Activities: Outdoor ice rink with music and holiday lights; food options like hot chocolate and s’mores

4. Fountains Winterfest– Smyrna, TN

  • Cost: Kids (4-12) $12, Adults (13+) $15 (includes skate rental)

5. The Ice Rink at Gaylord Opryland– Nashville, TN

  • Location: Nashville’s Opryland Hotel- Pinetop
  • Hours: Friday 10AM-10PM, Saturday 9AM-10PM, Sunday 9AM-9PM, Monday-Thursday 11AM-9PM
  • Cost: $24

6. ETSU Synthetic Ice Rinker Magic– Johnson City, TN

  • Hours: Thursdays and Fridays, 5-9 p.m., Saturdays, noon-7 p.m., Sundays, 2-7 p.m.

7. Lexington Ice Rink– Lexington, TN

  • Hours: Hours vary opening date is December 8
  • Cost: $10 kids, $12 adults

9. Christmas on Main– Savannah- TN

10. Zoo Lights– Memphis, TN

  • Hours: 5-9:30 PM December 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, 21, 22, 23, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30 and January 1-4
  • Cost: $8 in addition to zoo entry fee
  • Fun Activities:  Enjoy the zoo in lights, hot chocolate, Santa, and the ferris wheel
